The Kemptville Farmers’ Market keeps growing in popularity.
In its 18th season, the market is held every Sunday, from the mid-May to the end of October, in the B and H Your Community Grocer parking lot.
KFM Market Manager Stacey Johnson says the market has seen significant growth over the past few years with an average of 1,000 visitors checking out fifty or more vendors every week.
She says they have a regular base of customers but also attract daytrippers who are out and about.
“People, I think, are really starting to understand the need to grow local food or know where to get your food locally, I think that’s contributed to the success of all farmer’s markets all over the place.”
The market is open from noon to 4 p.m.
