Now that winter is officially over, North Grenville staff members are reminding residents of the rules for burning things in the municipality.
Residents need to buy a permit to have any open-air burns. Permits cost $15 and allow you to burn on your property without incurring any fines.
You need to live in an approved area to get a permit, and if you have a landlord, you need their permission to apply for one. They’re valid until the end of 2024.
The municipality’s website has more details on the regulations for burning and where to buy a permit.
