House of Lazarus “Purses with a Purpose” food bank fundraiser brings in $15,000+

Thousands of dollars are going towards helping struggling people thanks to a recent fundraising auction.

Staff members from the House of Lazarus are thanking everyone who helped contribute to its recent “Purses with a Purpose” event.

The initiative brought in more than $15,000 for the organization, according to a post on its Facebook page.

“These funds come at a time when the need in our community is higher than it has ever been,” a post on the House of Lazarus’ Facebook page reads. “We are honoured to be entrusted with this money to use in programs that make a direct impact in people’s lives.”

The money from the event, which was held in Winchester on October 21st, is going towards stocking the shelves at the House of Lazarus’ food banks in Ingleside and Mountain.
