Make sure to ask for the Municipal Sales License from anyone knocking on your door claiming to represent Bell next week.
That’s a warning from the Municipality of North Grenville. Staff members say they’ve granted a license for door-to-door sales to Bell Canada.
If someone won’t show you a Municipal Sales License when they arrive at your doorstep, they say you should report them since they could be impersonating real sales representatives to steal money.
You can report the company’s name, representative’s name, and any vehicles they use to the municipality’s By-Law Services department, or you can call the local OPP station at 613-258-3441.
If they become aggressive, staff say you should call 911.
The sales license is valid from October 31st to November 4th.
