The House of Lazarus is preparing to auction some designer purses to raise money for its food bank.
The organization, which runs food banks and thrift stores in Mountain and Ingleside, is hosting its “Purses with a Purpose” event in Winchester next weekend.
In addition to the purse auction, the event will also feature a fashion show, and all the proceeds are going towards supporting House of Lazarus clients.
It’s happening at the Joel Steele Community Centre on October 21st.
Meanwhile, according to a social media post, the organization has an urgent need for canned foods, cereal, turkey stuffing and more at its Mountain location.
