If you’re trying to get rid of car batteries, pesticides, pool chemicals and other hazardous waste, your last chance for the year is just a few days away.
The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville’s last household hazardous waste disposal day for 2023 is on Saturday, September 16th.
The program is available to anyone living in Prescott, Gananoque, and any of the United Counties’ member municipalities other than Brockville, because that city has its own disposal program.
You’ll be able to drop off your items at two locations this weekend: the Goodin Road entrance to the Spencerville Fairgrounds, or the North Grenville County Patrol Garage on County Road 44.
Both locations will be open from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
Electronics, tires, ammunition and a few other items won’t be accepted. If you have any questions, you can contact the United Counties by calling 613-342-3840, and using extension 2413.
