Helping Hands First Aid hosting Red Cross workshop in Kemptville

Kemptville residents interested in learning first aid, CPR and how to use a defibrillator will have a chance at the end of the month.

Helping Hands First Aid, a Red Cross affiliate organization that offers training for both adults and youth at workshop events throughout eastern Ontario, is hosting a course starting August 29th.

The program will walk participants through the basics of first aid and responding to medical emergencies, including how to deal with choking and administer CPR in adults, kids and infants.

It also covers the use of “automated external defibrillators” (AEDs), a tool used to help people undergoing cardiac arrest.
