You might want to visit Chesterville in a few weeks if you’ve ever wanted to give kayaking a try.
The Township of North Dundas is launching a new program that lets people take a free, one-hour paddle along the South Nation River in a borrowed kayak.
Brandon Cousineau, the township’s Recreations Coordinator, says you’ll also be provided with a life jacket if you don’t have one.
“The first event will be a drop-in program,” Cousineau says. “Stay tuned to our website & Facebook page for registration updates for the additional dates.”
The first chance you’ll have to try it out will be on July 12th, any time from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
After that, the program will run every other Wednesday from July 27th to September 14th.
