A new festival celebrating the local culture of Kemptville is coming next year. The Old Town Kemptville Business Improvement Area (BIA) has announced the date for the first ever Kemptville Buskerfest. The event, which will celebrate local performers and artists, is scheduled for May 21st, 2022.
Meagan Cumming, the Chair of the BIA’s Board of Management, says the organization is excited to host the event.
“Not only will many of our BIA members and other local businesses benefit directly from participating in Buskerfest,” says Cumming, “but this event helps to solidify our goal of making Downtown Kemptville the premier community hub in the region for the visual & performing arts, music and culture.”
The Kemptville Buskerfest was organized by the BIA after people in the community expressed a desire to see a new event similar to the Dandelion Festival, which hasn’t been held in Kemptville since 2015. The event has been in the planning stages for more than a year.
