Kemptville Live Music Festival Cancels Event For Second Straight Year

It looks like the Kemptville Live Music Festival will not be taking place this summer.

Festival officials announced over the weekend for the second straight year, they’ve decided to postpone the festival due to COVID-19.

Organizer Bob Beshara says the good news is they hope to be back for 2022.

“With the lockdown and everything else, there’s absolutely no way we can go forward with the festival for 2021,” Beshara said. “So, we’re gearing for next year and most of our main acts are all coming back, they’ve all committed.”

The festival was set to take place from July 21-24.

Beshara notes aside from the returning acts, which include Bachman-Cummings, Glass Tiger, Honeymoon Suite, and Andy Kim, festival organizers have also been engaging with Tom Cochrane to return for next year.

He says any tickets purchased for the original 2020 event will still be valid for 2022.

“If things open up, we may look at something much smaller in the fall, we are talking about that,” Beshara said. “But we’ll see what happens. It may happen, it may not, we don’t know yet.”

If you’re looking for a refund, you can send a request here.

Beshara says in the meantime, you can still support the festival through it’s Live at the Library Concert Series.
