Positive Case Of COVID-19 Confirmed At North Grenville District High School

A  positive case of COVID-19 is being reported at North Grenville District High School.

On Tuesday, the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit confirmed that a person at the school tested positive for the virus.

In a letter to parents, the health unit says it’s closely monitoring the situation and have followed up to isolate all students and staff who had a high risk exposure.

Students from two different classrooms, SBI3C1 (Biology) and MFB3C1 (math), and one bus are currently in isolation.

School staff and children who do not belong to classrooms and bus mentioned in the letter did not have a high risk contact with the positive case and can continue to go to school.

The health unit encourages everyone to continue with public health recommendations to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, you should stay home and get tested as soon as possible.

If you have questions or concerns, you can call the Health Unit at 1-866-236-0123.

The Upper Canada District School Board and the Health Unit are working together to contain the virus quickly and minimize the risk of transmission.
