100 Women Who Care North Grenville To Select Charity This Week To Receive Its Quarterly Donations

A North Grenville charity is set to receive some funds from a community group of local women.

100 Women Who Care North Grenville is set to host their next virtual quarterly meeting on Thursday February 18th at 7pm, where they will vote for one of three charities to receive funds the group has raised this quarter.

The eligible charities are the Kemptville District Hospital (WAY Program), the Leeds and Grenville Interval House, and the Country Cat Rescue.

Anne Kotlarchuk is one of 4 Leading Ladies for 100 Women Who Care North Grenville and she says even during the pandemic, they just want to give what they can.

“Even over the past year, we’re bringing in an average of between $3,000-to-$5,000 per quarter,” Kotlarchuk said. “So, we’re pretty happy that we can still support the needs of our community.”

Since 2017, 100 Women Who Care NG has raised over $68,000 for local charities.

While this quarter’s total has yet to be determined, Kotlarchuk says that regardless of whether members can donate, they just want to see more women engage with the group.

“One of these groups will win the majority of the votes and the other two will receive $250 of our donations, just to say thanks for presenting, and recognize them for their time and efforts, and what they are doing for the community,” Kotlarchuk said.

The group’s virtual zoom meeting is this Thursday at 7PM and you can register here for the meeting.

You can vote for your choice of charity either during the meeting or before by emailing 100 Women Who Care NG.
