North Dundas business owner helping out with a visit to jail

A local North Dundas business owner is going to jail… for a good cause.

The Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers Program is hosting a special event at the Foodland in Winchester on Saturday.

Constable Tylor Copeland says business owner Dan Pettigrew will be a big part of the fundraiser.

Copeland says that for every $10 donation, a pair of cuffs will be removed from his body. Other local business owners and community celebrities could also be “arrested” during the event. Copeland says that the money that is raised from this event will go to help Crime Stoppers in the work that they try to do.

Every $10 donation also gets people entered into five prize draws. The event is in support of Crime Stoppers Month.
