Eight families will be warmer this winter thanks to a North Dundas business.
Winchester BMR, with the help of the House of Lazarus and the Community Food Share, delivered eight one-ton loads of Eco-Energy Logs to eight families in need. That will cover roughly a month’s worth of fuel for their fireplaces and woodstoves.
A crew of six made the deliveries on December 20th. That included BMR owner Ken Boje and employee Steve Dejong.
The woodstoves will help those families avoid using electric heat to save on their hydro bill.
Winchester BMR is donating half the cost of the fire logs, while the other half is being paid for through donations. You can still contribute if you’d like to do so through Winchester BMR.
