Nearly $64,000 in private investment spurred by Community Improvement Plan program

A total of eight projects could be approved by North Grenville Council next week for funding through the Community Improvement Plan’s Façade, Landscape and Signage Grant Program.

The second intake for the program in 2017 includes eight projects totalling $94,000. Nearly $30,000 will come through the CIP program with the other $64,000 coming from private investment.

Five projects are commercial and three are residential. The projects are meant to improve the downtown core through revitalization and are all located within the Rideau-Sanders-Prescott Street area.

Council members can give the final go ahead through a vote next Monday.
