Leeds-Grenville – Thousands Islands and Rideau Lakes MP Gord Brown is reaching out to hear from constituents regarding the proposed small business tax changes.
Brown says Carlton MP Pierre Poilievre will also be attending the meeting. Poilievre is the Opposition Finance Critic.
Brown says that some small business owners have contacted his office to express concerns about their ability to maintain their offices and businesses under the proposed rules.
The government announced a 75-day consultation period on the proposals and Brown says he wants to gather information from business owners since the Official Opposition is participating in the consultation.
The event will take place at the 1000 Islands Mall Community Room in Brockville from 5:30pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, September 14th.
