North Grenville to recognize Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Friday

The Municipality of North Grenville will officially recognize September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Friday.

Council members and staff will be outside at the municipality for a flag raising ceremony at 10:00am. Mayor David Gordon is expected to proclaim the month in honour of those children fighting cancer.

Neon Night Kemptville is also set to take place later in the month on Saturday, September 23rd at Riverside Park.

Neon Night Kemptville Chair Brenda Burich says that while they won’t turn anyone away if they haven’t registered by September 1st, it makes planning much easier.

Burich says Neon Night Kemptville raises funds for a specific purpose.

You can get involved with the fundraiser by donating or creating your team. Go to www.cancer.ca/neonnightkemptville to learn more.

The public is invited to attend the flag raising.
