It’s time to fill the bus with food.
The third annual Fill-The-Bus for the House of Lazarus is running Friday. The event happens from 10:00am to 2:00pm at both Jonsson’s Independent Grocer and Kemptville Walmart.
Last year, the event brought in nearly 800 kilograms of food and about $1,000 cash.
Operations Manager Jennifer Westendorp says they serve many families throughout the area.
Westendorp says this is a really important event for the food bank.
Buses will be at both sites and officials will accept food and cash donations to support the food bank at the House of Lazarus.
