UPDATE: On August 28th, the OPP says officers have charged a 30-year-old man from Etobicoke in the incident.
UPDATE: The Lanark County OPP has released the name of the cyclist killed in the collision as 49-year-old Christopher Smith of Perth. The OPP says the investigation continues and no charges have been laid at this point.

A section of Highway 7 is closed after a cyclist was killed in a collision near Perth.
The Lanark County OPP says a fatal collision that took place earlier this morning is being investigated on Highway 7, just east of the town.
The OPP says an eastbound cyclist was struck by a cube van going the same way according to its initial investigation.
Traffic is being diverted on Dufferin Road while investigation continues.
The OPP asks drivers to slow down and be prepared for delays.
