The Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus had its annual inaugural meeting last week in Kingston and has set its priorities for 2017.
Three key priorities are being focused on. Those include improving infrastructure and connectivity with the help of the Eastern Ontario Regional Network, growing the regional economy with the expansion of natural gas to rural businesses, farms and communities, and reducing operational costs such as policing.
During the meeting Mayor Robert Quaiff of Prince Edward County was elected as the 2017 Chair of the Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus. Lanark County Warden Bill Dobson was elected Vice-Chair.
