Businesses and organizations looking to hire students through the Canada Summer Jobs Programs will have to act soon with the deadline approaching. MP Gord Brown is reminding employers that the deadline was moved up to January 20th this year to give employers more time to hire for the summer season.
The program provides funding to not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses with 50 employees or less to create job opportunities for students between 15 and 30.
Employers can apply by picking up an application form at a Service Canada Centre or through their website. Applications must be completed online, by mail or in person. Find out more by going to www.servicecanada.gc.ca/csj.
