North Grenville Council hopes to curb unwanted vehicle traffic at municipal parks where children and families play. Council voted to make changes to the parks bylaw to restrict vehicles, including off-road atvs and snowmobiles, from being allowed on municipal park land.
Director of Emergency and Protective Services Paul Hutt explains there have been close calls in the past.
The changes were passed at Monday night’s North Grenville Council meeting. Vehicles will still be able to drive into designated parking areas.
