Members of the Kemptville Horticultural Society were busy in Rotary Park planting tulips on Monday and Tuesday. Earlier in the spring, the organization decided to revamp the gardens at the park to get ready for Canada’s 150th. At the time, money was received by the municipality. The club also put in money and labour into the project. Then the Rotary Club recently donated $500 to allow the organization to purchase 500 150th Commemorative Tulip Bulbs. Project Coordinator Doreen Hill explains how the flowers will look.
Those bulbs have now been planted by members in the gardens, ready for next year’s celebrations.
