If you’re on a well, the health unit says you should have your water tested. The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit says wells can be contaminated due to varying water levels when a drought has been going on for a long period of time. That’s due to the water table dropping, and the well pulling contaminants from further away into the drinking water supply. Water testing is free for residents.
