If you don’t ask, you can’t receive. Former Mayor of Kemptville Ralph Raina would like to see MP Gord Brown, MPP Steve Clark, Mayor David Gordon and residents come together to petition to have a federal building in North Grenville. Raina presented his idea to North Grenville Council last night. He says nearby communities like Gatineau, Ottawa and Cornwall all host federal facilities. He believes Kemptville would be a perfect location for a federal building, preferably related to agriculture. Mayor David Gordon agreed with Raina’s position and said he would be pushing this idea forward.
Gordon says he will also include the Minister of Agriculture in the correspondence.
