CDSBEO sees minor decreases in standardized testing results for grades three and six students

The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario is seeing some minor decreases when it comes to the results of standardized testing for grade three and six students. The Education Quality and Accountability Office released its standardized testing results yesterday. In grade three, 75 percent of students met the provincial standard in reading and 79 percent in writing. Those results are slightly above the provincial average. The math score came in at 62 percent. That’s very close to the provincial average of 63 percent. In grade six, students saw slight increases in literacy skills and a slight decrease in math. At the high school level there was an eight percent decrease to the applied math score. The board is still six percent above the provincial average of 45 percent.
