A prostate awareness clinic and free prostate cancer PSA test is taking place at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital this Saturday. The event runs from 8am until 10am where men can learn about prostate cancer. A free test will be available on site which normally costs $30 to $50 dollars. Volunteer with the Black Walnut Prostate Cancer Support Group Paul Mayotte explains why men should be tested for prostate cancer.
Mayotte says last year’s event was a huge success.
The event is a joint venture between the hospital, the Telus Ride for Dad, Nation Valley ATV Club and the Black Walnut Prostate Cancer Support Group to make the event possible. They remind anyone who’s participating to bring their health card.
