Residents and visitors tour HMCS Goose Bay at Port of Johnstown

Over 700 people boarded the HMCS Goose Bay Saturday and more residents visited Sunday to see what a naval ship looks like from close up. Visitors were treated to a tour given by officers aboard. One officer explains some of the controls on the bridge.

The event took place at the Port of Johnstown. Mayor of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Pat Sayeau told Juice FM last week that we don’t normally get a chance to see naval vessels on the St. Lawrence, and that this was the first naval vessel tour at the Port.
