In late night action on Thursday at the Royal LePage OVCA Women’s Fall Classic at the North Grenville Curling Club in Kemptville:
Halifax’s Theresa Breen and Switzerland’s Silvana Tirinzoni both won their second games. Â They meet today at 2:30 pm with the winner advancing directly to Championship Sunday in this triple knockout event.
Breen defeated Fredericton’s Melissa Adams 6-4
Tirinzoni defeated Ottawa’s Rhonda Varnes 5-3
Guelph Chrissy Cadorin scored one in the eighth to beat Ottawa’s Danielle Inglis 5-4
and Ottawa’s Erin Morrissey scored two in the eighth to defeat Darmouth’s Kristen MacDiarmid.
At 6:00, crowd favourite Halifax’s Mary-Anne Arsenualt defeated Stoney Creek’s Mallory Keen 5-4
and 2014 Fall Classic Champion Cathy Auld won her first game a 9-6 victory over Ottawa’s Celeste Butler-Rohland.
Action continues all day today with the first draw at 8:45 am and the last going at 8:00 pm
There are four draws on Saturday and the QF, SF and Championship Game go at 9:00 12:30 and 3:30on Sunday.

Tomorrow night the event will host a Rock the Classic and Pub Night at the club, to celebrate the events 10th Anniversary. Â The band Straight Shooters will play from 8:30 to 11:30 at the North Grenville Curling Club in Kemptville. Â Admission is free and is to thank all the volunteers, sponsors, teams, fans and the community of North Grenville for all their support in bringing World Class Curlers to our town.
