Yesterday the NG senior girls basketball team played their LGSSAA semi final game vs South Grenville Giants. The game was rescheduled from next Tuesday as the Giants would be missing players due to a school trip.
The Knights came out more aggressive and fast than they have played all year and raced to a 24-3 lead after the first quarter. From there they substituted freely and cruised to a 65-17 victory. Shawn Pignon was outstanding hitting 4 three pointers and finishing with 17 points. Emma Kiesekamp scored 13 in limited minutes while Marlie Dodds, Corinne Nussey, Korey Watson and Alex Kerr all had 7.
The Knights will now travel to Rideau next Thursday evening at 7:30 for the LGSSAA finals.
