On Thursday the junior girls basketball team was defeated by St. Mary 51-33. The Knights stayed with the Crusaders for most of the game but St. Mary’s size wore the Knights down. Laura Byrd led with 12 points while Colleen McGuire and Ireland Thurler had 8.
The senior girls rebounded from their tough defeat against Rideau with a convincing 59-29 win against the Crusaders. Darien Wrona had another outstanding game with 18 points while Emma Kiesekamp dominated with 29. Strong defensive work was put in by junior aged players Shawn Pignon and Alex Kerr.
