The St Mike’s Girls Basketball teams traveled to Brockville on Thursday to take on the TISS Pirates. The Juniors put up a good fight but eventually fell 44 to 12 to the Pirates. Kaitlyn Dawson and Grace McNamee each scored a pair of baskets. The Seniors allowed TISS to take a 16 to 4 to open the game but quarter by quarter the Mustangs went to work, eventually grinding out a late game 42 to 34 comeback win. Eva Kuhar netted 17 points with Sarah Benoit adding 10. Tatiana Weissflog chipped in 8 points and was superb defensively.
The Mustangs finally return to their home court next Thursday to take on Gananoque.
