The St. Mike’s Girls Basketball teams traveled to Elgin yesterday to take on Rideau. The Juniors notched their first win of the season, 29 to 15. Maddy Meisenheimer burst onto the high school basketball scene with an impressive 16 point performance.
The Senior Girls demonstrated outstanding defence against Rideau but could not overcome an injury to star player Sarah Benoit in the late stages of the game. Final score Rideau 36 St. Mike’s 27. Eva Kuhar led the scoring with 9 points.
The Junior Girls host BCI at 1:30pm on Thursday.
