The North Grenville District High School senior girls basketball is learning as they go but they are off to a pretty good start. In their 1st tournament NG defeated Smiths Falls then lost a close game to St. Michael Catholic High School.
This past weekend NG defeated Perth, Glengarry District, LaCitadelle and Holy Trinity in a Cornwall tourney, making it to the finals. There they battled back from a 10 point 4th quarter deficit. They had 2 good shots at the end to tie but lost by 2. Their regular season opens Tuesday at home against Thousand Islands Secondary School.
