2014 Dandelion Festival a resounding success.

The 14th Annual Dandelion Festival took over Old Town Kemptville from Friday night through Sunday afternoon, to great success. The Dandelion Dinner sold out Friday night, and the Dandelion After Dark venues were full to capacity until closing on Saturday. The first ever Community Dance-Walk was well received and attended and despite a little rain Saturday afternoon, the festival welcomed crowds of visitors, many from out of town. Deciding to move the festival back to the streets of Old Town Kemptville brought the need for some gates, added security and additional planning by organizers. The hard work paid off, said Julia O’Grady of In the Moment Events. Hundreds of visitors descended upon Old Town to take in the live music, shop at the vendor stalls and take part in the activities. In particular the crowd in front of the Kemptville Youth Musical Theatre performance of Shrek on Sunday was estimated at 200.
