Operation Dry Water will be in full force over the Civic Day Long Weekend. Police want to get the word out that boating under the influence is dangerous and can cause injury or death. Boaters face the same consequence as drivers while piloting their boat under the influence of drugs and alcohol. While the OPP saw Ontario boating fatalities reach a ten year low in 2014, marine officers consider even one boating death as one too many.
