The Leeds, Grenville & Lanark Health Unit issued a heat alert because of the forecast over the next few days. Temperatures and humidex levels are expected to be high until Thursday and can be hazardous to your health. The Health Unit wants to remind the public to check on neighbours and friends who may be at greater risk during heat alerts such as the elderly, people with chronic illness, infants and preschool children and people who participate in physical activity ore involved in strenuous outdoor work for prolonged periods.
