Body of headless dog found in Rideau River near Manotick

There was a gruesome sight in the Rideau River over the weekend when a headless dog was found. Emergency services were called Sunday around 4:30pm when someone spotted what appeared to be a body just south of Manotick in the water. When crews arrived they determined it was the body of a dog and not human remains. The Ottawa Humane Society is now investigating.
