Corporal Derrick Gallagher of the Canadian Armed Forces appears in court today. The Upper Ottawa Crime Unit of the OPP first launched their investigation into a report of a sexual assault on March 29th, 2014. On April 1st, investigators charged the 31-year-old Petawawa soldier with 8 counts of Sexual Assault and 2 counts of Voyeurism. As the investigation continued, additional charges were laid in relation to 7 more victims, bringing the total to 16. Gallagher is appearing by video remand in the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke, today. Investigators are encouraging any female that has been in Gallagher’s company to contact the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP.
