When elected as Mayor of the Town of Prescott in 2010, Brett Todd committed to focusing on Economic Development. Now, in a partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, a plan is in place to rejuvenate the Prescott business community.
Todd says step one is establishing a leadership team of local employers, BIA and Chamber representatives who will provide input on Business Retention & Expansion. Next, a team from St. Lawrence College will work on a plan to attract new business to the area.
The Town will apply for funding to hire a Coordinator who will be dedicated to putting the plan into action.
The Mayor says it’s the most wide-range Economic Development plan the community has ever had.
