Secondary schools in the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario took part in a historic province-wide Mass yesterday that was supported by the Pope. The event was held Wednesday across Ontario to mark Catholic Education Week. A letter was received by Catholic Board Council leaders from the Vatican Secretary of State. The letter, which contained Pope Francis’ message and blessings for the province-wide Mass and Catholic Education Week, was shared at each Mass.
