The founder of a charitable organization that builds small homes for seniors is North Grenville’s 2026 senior of the year.
Janne Ritskes, founder of Shalom Small Homes, is North Grenville’s recipient of the Ontario Senior of the Year Award.
The award is presented annually and recognizes seniors who have made outstanding contributions to enriching the social, cultural, or civic life of their community after age 65.
A media release says Ritskes has made an indelible impact though her commitment to creating a more inclusive and caring environment.
This past month was declared Seniors’ Month in North Grenville.
