Executive Director of the North Grenville Chamber of Commerce supporting federal budget

The Executive Director of the North Grenville Chamber of Commerce is welcoming the 2025 federal budget with open arms.

Terri-Lyn McEvoy says this week’s budget places an emphasis on competitiveness, investment, and cost relief which she says is positive news and helps create a stronger foundation right here at home.

She adds that the budget sends a clear message that the government sees the importance of local economies.

McEvoy tells Moose FM that small business owners are receiving support from Ottawa.

“Potential tax breaks, grants, programs to help with hiring and training. Technology for small businesses so that they can remain competitive.”

The budget must now be passed in the House of Commons before coming into effect.
