Take Back The Night coming up next week in Kemptville

A gathering next week will come together with the goal of ending sexual and domestic violence in our community.

Take Back The Night, an annual event to counter gender-based violence, is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 25 at Rotary Park in Kemptville.

Organizers say participants can make signs, listen to speeches from local organizations and then march and chant in support of survivors.

They note that there is uneven pavement on the streets that they will march and the average walk time is 21 minutes.

Parking can be found at Riverside Park, on local streets and the library.

They say you should bring comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, a flashlight and noise makers.

You can find more details and join the march on the Kemptville Stress Relief Centre website.
