North Grenville preparing for students to head back to school

It wont be very long before school buses are out and about in the area bringing students to and from school.

With classes getting underway soon, North Grenville Mayor Nancy Peckford says it will be a busy time for parents and first and foremost on their minds will be road safety.

Peckford says the municipality will be putting additional road safety measures in place this fall.

She tells Moose FM that includes an active transportation plan that’s currently being developed by public works staff.

“Really think about those places where obviously pedestrians and cyclists may be vulnerable.”

Making it easier to get around will be the opening of the first two lanes of the new four-lane bridge on County Road 43.

Peckford says that’s expected to take place sometime this fall.
