Grab your sunscreen! Warm weather to return

Make sure you drink plenty of water and lather on the sunscreen.

After a break of a couple of days, the warm weather that we saw over the past few weeks is set to return with Environment Canada calling for a high of 32 degrees on Thursday.

It will feel more like 39 degrees with the humidex and will begin a stretch where the temperature will rise into the high twenties.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Steven Flisfeder tells Moose FM that the rest of the summer is expected to bring above average conditions but it remains to be seen how that will play out.

“Whether or not that means we’ll get similar type of heat events with either a long duration or very high temperatures is not something that we can predict ahead of time.”

Flisfeder adds it will take more research to determine how this summer’s weather compares to the past few years.
