North Grenville Mayor Nancy Peckford says we’re all taking an extra moment to mark Canada Day this year.
Peckford says the day has always been special but, given some of the chaos south of the border, she says Canadians are really thinking about how wonderful it is to live in this country.
She says Canada is a country with a proud history which is still evolving.
Peckford tells Moose FM that North Grenville is a poignant reminder of what Canada is all about.
“Given the quality of life and the community cohesion and all of the things that make us so blessed to live in this part of the world.”
Peckford adds she’s looking forward tp celebrating Canada Day locally and take part in the festivities.
