Hold off on filling up! Gas prices expected to drop over the next two days

You’ll want to hold off on filling up at the gas pumps a couple of days if you can.

Canadians for Affordable Energy President Dan McTeague tells Moose FM that gas prices are expected to drop by as much as 10 cents a litre at most stations by Thursday.

He says the first drop of around 5 cents will come overnight Tuesday with another followed close behind.

McTeague says the drop comes after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, bringing prices back to where they were two weeks ago.

“Imagine that, once again busting the myth that gas prices go up on long weekends they are actually going to fall net eight to ten cents a litre depending on where you are across the province.”

McTeague adds that we could see a small bump up in prices close to the weekend but that’s not for certain.
