Kemptville 73’s holding main camp this weekend

The Kemptville 73’s are putting the work in to try and take another step forward.

While it may be summer, the team is holding its main camp this weekend at the North Grenville Municipal Centre as they try to build on last season which saw them make the playoffs for the first time in three years.

While they were eliminated by the Carleton Place Canadians, 73’s Head Coach Shawn Fensel says they want to keep the momentum going and that starts with players coming together and competing to make the team for 2025-2026.

Fensel tells Moose FM that the team learned a lot about themselves last season.

“It was a good experience for the guys that are coming back and, speaking to them this summer, I think there’s a new found hunger in their games and an understanding of how hard it is.”

On ice sessions take place throughout the weekend culminating in an all-star game on Sunday.
