Another successful Hey Day is in the books with organizers saying over $50,000 was raised for the Kemptville District Hospital.
The event, one of the largest indoor garage sales in eastern Ontario, was held on June 6 and 7 at the North Grenville Municipal Centre with nearly 3,000 people searching for treasures.
All of the money raised through the event organized by the Kemptville District Hospital Auxiliary goes to KDH.
Hey Day Chair Jean Gallant tells Moose FM that the funds directly help patients receiving treatment.
“We’re looking at getting some iPads for patients in long-term care, it’s really the only way they have of staying in touch with family and friends.”
Gallant adds that plans are already underway for next year’s event and what can be done to make it bigger and better.
